GDPR (Only in English)
GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation.
It’s a data privacy law set out by the EU to protect the personal data of individuals. It came into force May 25th, 2018 and TEFCOLD has naturally implementet the regulation.
The main issues of the GDPR regulation are:
- Personal data - type, purpose and interest
- Right to access
- Right to be forgotten
- Privacy by design
- Breach notification
- Data protection officer
PERSONAL DATA
We process personal data about you for the purposes of sales, marketing and purchase activities.
The basis for our processing of your personal data is the rule on balancing legitimate interests.
We only process general personal data, such as name, contact information, titel, place of employment, etc. as well as notes in connection with dialogue.
We only disclose or forward your personal data to data processors who support the sales, marketing and purchase processes, e.g. ERP, CRM partners.
We do not transfer your data to any recipients in third countries.
How do we obtain and store your personal data?
We obtain your data from yourself, public company websites, social medias etc. and store it securely with limited access. We store it as long as we have business relations with you.
After end business relations and no permissions to send TEFCOLD news, we will delete you contact details after a period of 2 years.
RIGHT TO ACCESS
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights in relation to our processing of your personal data.
You have the right to access the data we process about you and you have the right to have incorrect data about you corrected.
You must contact us if you want to make use of the right to access your data.
RIGHT TO BE FORGOTTEN
At any point in time, you can have data about you delted. However, excepted from this rule is if erasure of this data is prohibited by relevant legislation.
You must contact us if you want to make use of the right to be forgotten.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
Privacy by design calls for the inclusion of data protection from the onset of the designing of systems, rather than an addition.
At TEFCOLD we will think privacy by design when designing new systems to handle personal data, but at the moment current systems have been changed to handle the issues.
BREACH NOTIFICATION
Under the GDPR, breach notification has become mandatory within 72 hours of having become aware of the breach.
A data protection officer has been appointed at TEFCOLD and the appropriate processes implemented to secure this.
COMPLAINT
You have the right to file a complaint with the relevant, national Data Protection Agency if you are unhappy with the way we process your personal information.
